Cons: No instructions/documentation of any kind for the mounting kit or antenna. Notes: The connector is perpendicular to the antenna, not parallel. This antenna is directional, meaning you have to point it directly at the Access Point or router for best results. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Poor signal By Stephanie Lawson I recieved this and hooked it up. I had no troubles with that part. The problem was that the signal just was not strong enough. I would say I would need the signal to reach about 600 ft if that and it was not working. I got three bars but every once in a while it would just stop working. This thing is also huge. Langford The antenna, though bigger than what I expected, works nominally. It's rather durable (The broomstick I attached it to above my room broke, and it hit the concrete with no discernable damage or performance impact). I just had to find a small enough screw driver for the screws on the bottom of the Macbook, and the Mac user guide actually covers the steps for RAM replacement for anyone who might not be familiar with cracking open their laptop.
